Yo your "skin" red and you look like a rat!' In 1996 Wallace Wilson was about to emerge on the International stage as one of Jamaica's most versatile and exciting performers when he headed then label mate Degree's point-blank observation and Red Rat was born. Wallace Wilson AKA Red Rat was born January 17th into a musical family in the tourist area of St. Anns Bay, Jamaica. Incredibly, his first performance was at the age of four, 'My brothers used to play in the hotels. They called me onstage and I started singing a Michael Jackson song, yeah 'ABC!'' The audience went wild and Red Rat was hooked. Red Rat's recording debut 'Can't Live Without You' with his brother's band brought him to the attention of Danny Browne the producer/musician CEO of Main Street Records. Impressed by the young performer's musical abilities and natural stage charisma, Browne mentored the artiste allowing him to the attention of Danny Browne the producer/musician CEO of Main Street Records. Impressed by the young performer's musical abilities and natural stage charisma, Browne mentored the artiste allowing him to nurture his talent and gain valuable experience alongside Main Street artists such as Degree, Buccaneer and Papa San. While still in school Red Rat recorded his first single 'Itsy Bitsy' for Browne's Main Street Records, however on his father's insistence he decided to put his career on hold until completing his education. In 1996 after graduating from Meadowbrook High Red Rat under the watchful eye of Browne moved full steam ahead releasing a string of hit singles including 'Shelly-Ann' and 'Dwayne' that catapulted him to the top of Reggae charts Worldwide while showcasing his unmistakable voice, unique sense of humor and his unforgettable trademark 'Oh-No!' Red Rat's debut album 'Oh No....It's Red Rat!' quickly became one of Greensleeves Records greatest selling albums with hits such as 'Tight Up Skirt', 'Cruise' (featured in the movie 'The Big Hit') and 'Big Man Little Yute.'
The album's success, steady radio play and demand for his outrageous live performances led to shows all over the Caribbean, the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa and beyond. 'I'm a Big Kid Now' followed in 1999 with more hits and critical acclaim. His musical diversity and mainstream popularity led to a series of collaborations with artists such as Treach of Naughty by Nature, Kele Le Roc and British icons Groove Armada. The buzz from fans anticipating a new album inspired Red Rat to return to the studio. He formed Rat-A-Kastle Records and immediately began recording new tracks with chart-topping producers including Scott Storch, Salaam Remi and Cool and Dre. Now signed to Infinity Moguls and set to release his new album. The tracks from the forthcoming album reflect a new direction for the artiste who has once again redefined himself. The slamming tracks, hype and humor are all there, and so is a more seasoned and mature Red Rat.

Queen Omega

Queen Omega

Trinidad

Jeneile Osborne a.k.a. Queen Omega is a name to be reckoned with in the field of Reggae Music. Hailing from San Fernando, Queen Omega was born to a family of five. Born between four boys, she was given the name Queenie. From a very young age she displayed a passion for singing, and her mother Deborah, on recognizing her talent, encouraged her to pursue a career in music. She began singing in earnest at kindergarten and continued primary school, where she won Calypso talent competitions over a period of three consecutive years. Her talent was recognized again but this time by one of Trinidad’s leading Soca producers, Kenny Phillips. She worked in his studio as a background vocalist on the tracks of some of the biggest names in Soca music and entered local TV talent shows, never failing to captivate the hearts of audiences with her powerful voice. Queen Omega also appeared on various stage shows with some of Reggae’s most prominent artists, such as Luciano, Glen Washington, Junior Kelly and Bushman to name but a few. She accomplished all this while she was attending secondary school. Astonished by her versatility, Kenny Phillips invited her on a trip to Jamaicaalongside Solomon Band for the Caribbean Music Expo 2000. During this stage of her life, Queen Omega was undergoing a spiritual transformation. She had chosen to embrace the way of Rastafari, which inspired her to write and sing meaningful, socio-conscious and spiritual music. Later that year, Queen Omega met with the Greenhouse Family, visited London and recorded her self-titled debut album, “Queen Omega”. The album contained favorites such as “Hypocrites and Parasites”, “Warning” featuring Capleton and Sizzla and “All For You”. Queen Omega’s debut album also featured artists like Archie Wonder and Anthony B. Her second album; “Pure Love” was completed and released in 2002. She returned to Jamaica to perform on “Sum Fest” together with radical Jamaican artist Ninja Man. She later toured England in 2003. Her debut Ariwa album is ” Servant of Jah Army” Recorded between 2003 and 2006 this is a powerful 12 track album featuring Sly Dunbar, Robbie Shakespeare, Leroy Mafia, Black Steel, Dean Fraser, and a host of other reggae luminaries. The first single form this session was the smooth “Works to do”. This album made way for her first European tour, which took in Switzerland, Belgium,Italy (Geel Festival & Rototom Festival), Siberia and France (Jamaican Sunrise Festival). Additionally, Queen Omega has performed at the African Festival in Germany, Sierra Nevada Festival in California, Soca Reggae RiverSplash in Slovenia, Reggae Fest in Serbia and Reggae Festival in Sweden. Queen Omega performed on Tony Rebel’s “Rebel Salute” staged in 2004, which earned a lot of respect for her among the Jamaican audience. She has done opening acts alongside International Reggae Superstars such as Glen Washington, Bushman, Junior Kelly, Luciano, Buju Banton, Jah Mason, Anthony B, Chuck Fender, Richie Spice & Determine just to name a few. Locally, Queen Omega has performed at; Chaguaramas Mobs 2 (1998 & 2003), Queens Park Savannah for 96.1 & 98.9 FM from 1998 to 2000, Icons of Music 2002 (QPS), Hands Across the Sea 2004 (QPS). Queen Omega’s fourth album entitled “Destiny” is truly amazing and features a dancehall feel with soulful R&B overtones. “Destiny” reveals the depth and evolution of Queen Omega’s cultural music. Queen Omega is Trinidad’s “Queen Of Reggae” and she is without a doubt, a strong contender for the title “Queen Of Reggae” period. She has a depth of talent whose consistency in the world of Reggae is hard to beat. She has more than demonstrated her talent with four world-beating albums. “Destiny” her latest album is one of the best Roots Reggae albums ever recorded. Queen Omega’s destiny as a Rasta Woman is assured in the Reggae World.

Jahnesta

Jahnesta

Haiti

In November of 2003, Jahnesta's first album came out with ten (10) hits, all loaded with powerful, inspiring messages but at the same time light and almost aerial in their tune. This was a new adventure for the group, a fresh breath long awaited by the public.
If the title "Reggae Soldiers" is sometimes attributed to the group, the CD's title "Solda Jah" clearly symbolizes the group's leader, Alain Moraille. It encompasses his vision and his stand. His authentic style, his contagious melodies and his universal charisma have already conceded to the group the right to affix the seal of success on their music, in a world that has become increasingly competitive.
Alain Moraille a.k.a. Jahnesta, is the catalyst of the group he has truly concretized the dream that he has ceaselessly stirred in his soul for several years. He remembers having caught the reggae virus from his uncles when he was only five years old. These relatives then teenagers made him listen to Bob Marley's mythical "Natty Dread" on the old phonograph perched in his grandmother's living room in Place Boyer in the town of PĂŠtion-Ville a suburb of the Haitian Capital.
While other children of his age only decorated their rooms with posters of Mickey Mousse, Spiderman and other "made in US" childhood gadgets, the walls of his bedroom were lined with Bob Marley's pictures that he secretly cut out from the newspapers that his "older" uncles inadvertently left around. Very soon, he had memorized all the hits, and every time an opportunity came up, he asked that a LP or a cassette of the "King" be given to him as a gift.
In a kind of progressive spiral, a concatenation of events resulted in Alain's shy strumming an old acoustic guitar when he was 17, and this gesture served him as premonitory musical stepping stone...During that same year, under the instructive guidance of Daddy Beaubrun (Bass player of the Boukman Eksperyans band), his "live" solo interpretation Of "Redemption Song" made the winner of a talent show at "CafĂŠ des Arts", a well known entertainment place it is there that the path to Music opened up before him.

Itinerary of a child prodigy ... I named E.sy Kennenga. His love affair with music begins while only 4 years old, the guitar is his instrument of choice, it is with it that he will live his first chills and never leave ... Note that the young Martinican runs in the family, he lives surrounded by musical parents, on an island where life flows in music, it was enough to make a virtuoso. At 14, he joined his first band: One Day. 2 albums later "Someday" in 2001 and "It must be said" in 2003 the dedicated local star with his first companions acrobats. With its few hits that made the happiness of Antillean youth, he met one of the composers of the star Martinique Mr Joël Jacoulet. New lightning, stunning twist of fate, he joined the B.Caribbean Crew, spearhead of the emerging new West Indian scene ... Nothing like traveling to feed his inspiration, he went to study in Bordeaux, matured his project, meeting a new audience, crowd new scenes, crosses new artists and begins unknowingly, to write his legend: A voice, guitar, emotion and energy! The singer of One Day becomes the prodigy E.sy Kennenga ... The public is in love, professionals in turmoil. Everything then connects, talent does not wait: 2010 E.sy Kennenga represents Martinique in issuing RFO 9 weeks and 1 day
